Bikewriting Workshop

Jovi de la Jara is a writer from Chile and PhD Student at the Creative Writing in the Spanish program of the University of Houston. As part of his creative project, he'll be biketouring/bikepacking with his dog Miño from Alaska to México, starting this May. During this trip he'll write some travel pieces for his dissertation, and share with communities along the way.

Join Jovi, Miño, Fairbanks Cycling Club (FCC), and Alaska Writers Guild (AWG) for a workshop about biking, writing, and our relationship with the world. The workshop will consist of a relaxed community ride around the city in bike-friendly areas followed by a workshop session in which participants write about the experience using prompts, exercises and readings.

The activity is free and open to the public. Tips toward Jovi and Mino's trip are appreciated. Register for free!
